ALHUMDULILLAH QURBANI IS PERFORMED!

Accepting Orders till Saturday June 15th, 12pm EST

"It is not their meat nor their blood, that reaches Allah: it is your piety that reaches Him: He has thus made them subject to you, that ye may glorify Allah for His Guidance to you and proclaim the good news to all who do right." (Quran 22:37)

WHAT IS QURBANI?

Qurbani (or Udhiyyah) refers to a ritual religious act of slaughtering animals for God's sake as an act of worship during the days of slaughter (ayyam al-nahr). The practice is a physical exercise to internalize an Abrahamic lesson of sacrificing the negative, less important and sin to attain the positive, more important and obedience to Allah. This act also supports impoverished communities and feeds the less fortunate.

WHO IS OBLIGATED TO CARRY OUT QURBANI?

Qurbani is compulsory upon every sane Muslim adult - male and female - who is not travelling,  and owns the NISAB (which is beyond his/her basic needs) during the days of Qurbani.

WHAT IS NISAB?

Nisab is the minimum threshold of wealth a person owns at which point Udhiyyah becomes COMPULSORY.

Nisab amount stipulated by Shariah:

GOLD - 87.48g
SILVER - 612.36g

Any other form of wealth that is equivalent to the above in value. This does not have to be possessed an entire year.
